Every morning I wake up, make my bed, and then begin preparing for the day. We have often heard of the miracles of Apple Cider Vinegar for weight loss, but who honestly can stomach the taste? Unless you’re an ayurvedic provi (German for professional) I don’t think many of us can handle the earthy palate without some serious adjustments. Not a problem with that.
How many of us remember Beyonce’s lemonade diet. No, not the video/musical opera. It was when she had to shed a substantial amount of weight to fit into a role for a movie. I forget specifically which one. Someone tell me! Her method combined lemons, maple syrup, and cayenne. I tried it myself almost a decade ago now and had great results. For Beyonce, she used this for her meal replacement for maximum effect but we are not Beyonce and do not need to be. We can enjoy the benefits without exhausting our bodies nutritional reserves.
My tonic tastes a lot like her drink, which is actually pretty good. I like to add colloidal silver to my drink which includes iodine that you’ll be happy to have if the bomb drops. Just kidding. ;]
I also opt for honey instead of maple syrup. This is only because I have the BEST honey around. The honey I have is 100% organic and aged by 20 years. It looks like dark crystals in the jar and it is magic.
The cayenne gets the blood moving and the vinegar cuts on starches and helps promote a healthy gut. The cinnamon and honey are to help the taste but even those have positive properties such as antioxidants. I like this drink so much that it’s even replaced my addiction to coffee. I find that this helps me feel more awake and lighter through the day. It isn’t as heavy as a drug, but my body thanks me for it and my taste buds think I’m stupid for giving them such a yummy treat!
With summer approaching I’ve taken to warming up the honey, vinegar, and spices together and then cooling it off. Once cool I add sparkling water and ice cubes to mimic KaVita’s Lemon Cayenne Probiotic drink. It tastes the same and the only difference is that it’s missing the probiotics but if you’re like me you can just take your supplements with the drink.
